We strive to develop the ‘whole person’ and take pride in our approach to personalised learning that nurtures the full potential of each student.
We see wellbeing as an integral part of our students’ learning experience and aim to foster and develop the skills to learn, grow, and succeed.
Our Wellbeing Framework operates within the context of the Department for Education’s Wellbeing for Learning and Life Framework and adheres to our school values.

Wellbeing Support
The Wellbeing Team provides specialised 1:1 or small group wellbeing support. All students have access to high quality services provided by The Wellbeing Team. Students, staff and families are able to refer a student through the school’s Student Wellbeing Referral process (link below). The Wellbeing Team takes pride in the depth of experience and knowledge of our multidisciplinary team, which consists of a Deputy Principal, Assistant Principal, two Student Wellbeing Leaders, Pastoral Care Worker and a Wellbeing Support Officer. The depth of experience means The Wellbeing team is equipped to respond and provide strategies for a various needs including:
- Curriculum / Pathways / Study Options
- Specific learning, social and emotional needs
- Organisation, study skills and exam wellbeing
- Relationships
- Social skill development
- Emotion Regulation
- Safety
- Feelings of anxiety and low moods
- Sleep hygiene
- General wellbeing check-ins
- Spiritual guidance
- Connection/recommendation for external providers
In addition to providing 1:1 support, The Wellbeing Team delivers small group Proactive Wellbeing Programs in partnership with the Pod. The programs are designed in response to wellbeing themes that are identified through the collection and review of wellbeing data including anxiety, disengagement with learning, social skill development and more. The Wellbeing Team also works with each Sub School, to provide intensive Case Management support for students with complex needs (e.g. attendance concerns) and partners with Sub Schools and Mentor Teachers in the delivery of the wellbeing strand embedded within the school’s Holistic Education Curriculum, LEAP PB.
The Wellbeing Space
The Wellbeing Team is located in the Student Services and consists of individual private suites to accommodate 1:1 confidential appointments. The Wellbeing Centre has also been renovated to include a quiet room and lounge spaces which students can access when needing a quiet and safe place to regulate their emotions.

Students are encouraged to discuss their needs or concerns with the staff at Student Services, who are the first point of contact and may then refer a matter to the Wellbeing Team.
Alternatively, students, staff and families can make a referral to the Wellbeing Team through this process.

SchoolTV – A resource for families
SchoolTV is a resource that supports parents and families by providing fact-based information on the many challenges faced by today’s youth, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, drug and alcohol use, cyberbullying. Information is drawn from leading organisations such as Beyond Blue and Reach.
