After consideration of applications, successful applicants will be sent an offer of placement in the program.
Applicants wishing to take up that offer should then inform the South Australian Department for Education and Children’s Services on +61 8 8226 3402
When documents have been received and enrolment fees paid, applicants will be advised of the confirmation of a place in a government school.
The applicant should complete this Acceptance Advice Form (which is required to obtain a visa) and take it to the Australian High Commission or the Australian Education Centre in the student’s home country to obtain the necessary visa. Character references and health clearances are also required when applying for a visa.
Having obtained a visa, students make their own arrangements to travel to Australia. Students should book their air ticket as soon as they receive the Acceptance Advice Form. Students who are accepted to study in South Australian schools will receive a pre-departure kit to help them prepare for their time in South Australia.
Students advise the Department for Education and Children’s Services of their time of arrival in Adelaide, South Australia, and their accommodation needs. A representative of the Department will meet them and take them to their accommodation.
The ESOS Legislative Framework is available on the International Education website.
