The moral purpose for each teacher is to nurture the potential of each student for whom they have responsibility, to equip them to achieve their personal best and to thrive as 21st century global citizens.
As part of our school’s holistic education priority, twice a week all students engage in the holistic education curriculum called LEAPPB : Learning Experiences Accelerating Potential (Personal Best).
‘Accelerating potential’ recognises the potential of every student, with LEAPPB being a platform for them to engage in experiences to develop, build, and accelerate the skills they need to thrive at school and beyond.
The LEAPPB program focuses on four key areas:
The curriculum provides opportunities to develop skills in the areas of learning partnerships, respectful relationships, digital and global citizenship, deeper emotional awareness and more.
Wellbeing is integrated throughout the school curriculum and provides the opportunity for all students to develop skills in resilience, strategies in managing emotions, addressing matters related to safety and risk taking, respectful relationships, and enhancing prosocial connections.
The program is designed by our Wellbeing Team in collaboration with Sub School and Student Leaders, to ensure the curriculum is targeted, relevant, and meets the needs of our students at each year level.
