Glenunga International 60

Curriculum

Glenunga International High School offers a broad-based, 21st Century curriculum designed to meet the needs of each student.

Our curriculum specialisations offer many opportunities for students to develop their potential and follow pathways to further study or employment.

Students in Years 7 to 10 study the Australian Curriculum. In Years 11 and 12 students study the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. Students can also combine Vocational Education and Training (VET) with their SACE studies, setting them on a pathway to tertiary study, further vocational education or employment.

We encourage you to explore our curriculum options via our online curriculum guide.

International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma is a comprehensive and exciting pre-university course. The programme gives students a well-rounded and holistic experience.

At Glenunga, the IB Diploma is only offered to students in Years 11 and 12.

The IB Diploma Programme curriculum is made up of:

  • six subject groups.
  • the Diploma Programme core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay.

Vocational Education and Training

Vocational Education and Training (VET) gives students the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate I, II or III) in a wide range of in-demand career pathways, including cyber security, engineering, business and allied health.

Students combine VET with their SACE studies, setting them on a pathway to tertiary study, further vocational education or employment.
