At Glenunga our aim is to inspire every student to develop their potential as an internationally minded, critically thinking, responsible citizen. Course Counselling gives students the opportunity to select subjects which support their chosen pathway and allows them to develop decision making skills and think critically about their future endeavours.
During Term 3 students engage in discussions with both their families and teachers about their study options for the following year. Subject teachers will provide specific information about subjects, as well as any Requirements for Success necessary for entry into the course during Year 11 and 12.
Parents of Year 9 and 10 students need to attend an information session (6.30 – 7.00 pm – see dates below) followed by an optional session (7.00 – 7.30 pm) on the IB Diploma or Vocational Education and Training (VET). There will be an opportunity to ask questions during these sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: Year 11 IB Students who intend on completing Year 12 IB do not need to attend the information sessions as they continue with the same subjects in Year 12. If you have any queries, please contact the IB Leader.
