29 May UN YOUTH YOUNG LEADERS SUMMIT
UN Youth Young Leaders Summit
6 students from Glenunga International High School participated in the UN Youth Young Leaders Summit, discussing the topic ‘Our Evolving Cities’ on 17 May at Flinders University in Victoria Square.
During the summit students participated in workshops, collaborated with students from other schools and lecturers from the field of urban design. We enjoyed the experience of designing our own sustainable cities. The students also gained insightful knowledge about how cities are formed and how they evolve to what they are today, due to many external and internal factors. At the end of the summit we participated in a Crisis Committee in which the delegates were divided into three countries: Ethiopia, Egypt and Masafafarat (Fictional). During this simulation we had to represent our respective countries and resolve crisis situations. The Young Leaders summit was an exciting day and we are looking forward to future UN Youth events.
