UN Youth Space Summit

November 14, 2017

The UN Youth Space Summit was recently held for likeminded students of Adelaide interested in the future of space technology and exploration. During the full day event, Astronomy Club members participated as delegates from our school, we had workshop discussions on pressing matters such as space debris management. The day was filled with exciting discussions on associated topics including an informative guest speaker from University of Adelaide who assisted as an Engineer to send a satellite into space. Finally there was a crisis simulation, where students acted as global governments to urgently resolve a conflict at the International Space Station.

It was an interesting day all-round and it would be exciting to see more people joining this exciting event next year. However, before next year comes around, there are more exciting UN Youth events that are coming up very soon, so stay tuned!
