In the afternoon of Wednesday June 6 the GIHS String Orchestra set off on a little road trip to Mildura to perform at the Mildura Eisteddfod.
They stopped off at Berri for dinner and camped by Lake Cullulleraine for the night before continuing on to their destination on Thursday morning.
They performed in and won all three of the sections and were also awarded the Vaughan and Roger Stirrat Instrumental Award. They then went on to play for the Chaffey Aged Care Centre and by coincidence Vaughan Stirrat, who is a resident.
Well done team, what a fantastic achievement!
Glenunga is very proud of the tremendous talent that our students possess. We can’t wait to hear about the next trip!
