Jodie Benveniste: Teenagers are from outerspace
On Thursday 23 August 2018 Jodie Benveniste, a Psychologist and importantly a mother of two teens shared Teenagers are from Outerspace with us, her funny and captivating insight into teens and how best to help them through some of the toughest years of their lives. 150+ Glenunga parents came to hear from Jodie; in a presentation more or less made up of memes, she shared some of the key habits of teenagers that might indicate they are struggling.
After proclaiming “teens are messy…”, Jodie went on to share typical behaviours that parents often resort to and finished with some key strategies to help manage teen behaviours.
This highly valuable session about wellbeing and caring for young teenagers is the first of what we hope will be a series of targeted wellbeing sessions put on by GIHS and the Governing Council.
