International Women’s Day
This year for International Women’s Day on the 8th of March we wanted to raise awareness for gender parity and to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of women within our school community. Students participated in a creative project in collaboration with the Media Club, to film a video interviewing a range of students and staff about the values we associate with international women’s day; touching on topics of justice, appreciation, equality and tenacity.
This, along with a series of other short films created by students to celebrate girls were screened during lunch time and all students were invited to hear their peers perspectives. Overall, this day was about celebrating what International Women’s Day means to Glenunga and being able to share that message with the wider community to work towards a positive future.
