GIHS Students in a ‘League of Legends’

October 30, 2017

During the Term 3 holiday break, some of our students competed in the League of Legends competition at Hybrid World Adelaide.

League of Legends is a strategy style video game, comprising of two teams – each with a distinct playstyle and strategy – who must work together to seize specific objectives and and outsmart their opposition.

League of Legends is the world’s most popular game with 100 million players worldwide. Created by Riot Games in 2009, it gained popularity due to its focus on collaboration and teamwork and is now used as a tool to teach students sportsmanship and to promote a positive online culture.

The GIHS teams were successful, with one team fininshing in 2nd place and the other in 4th.

WELL DONE TEAM GIHS! We look forward to the next tournament.
